Chinese automotive supplier Yanfeng is closing its Lüneburg site by the end of 2027. Production and development of vehicle interior parts. 230 employees are affected. Relocation to an existing site in the Czech Republic is planned. Reason: to secure competitiveness on the global market. The union IG Bergbau, Chemie, Energie (IGBCE) is puzzled by the shutdown, as there is said to be sufficient work for the remaining 230 employees.
