DB InfraGO to upgrade Haan-Gruiten station for EUR 12.15m

On 25 February 2026 VRR handed DB InfraGO a funding notice of EUR 5.57 million for the comprehensive upgrade of Haan-Gruiten station; construction costs total EUR 12.15 million. The plan covers a new footbridge with four staircases and four lifts, a platform 3/4 extended to 150 m, a tactile guidance system and new fittings. Work is due in 2026 as part of the Hagen–Wuppertal–Cologne general renewal, with a total build time of about five months.
