EUCO Rail opens components centre in Gersthofen near Augsburg

In Gersthofen near Augsburg EUCO Rail has put a components centre into operation that has been open to customers since October 2025 and carries out comprehensive overhauls of bogies, wheelsets and other vehicle components, from trams to locomotives. The 4,500 m² hall houses a wheelset press, bogie test rigs, non-destructive testing equipment and a shot-blasting and painting line; at present six wheelsets can be processed per shift, and extra shifts would double that capacity. The centre works with the Langweid site, where the vehicles are prepared, and is to be extended with further components and AI-supported inspection systems; the report gives no investment sum, no new jobs and no opening day (date = day of the report).
