Karl Mayer Kartonagen files for insolvency, affecting 110 jobs

Corrugated board and carton manufacturer Karl Mayer, based in Haiterbach with further sites in Ottersweier and Altenstein-Spielberg, has filed for insolvency at the Tübingen district court; Sebastian Mielke (Menold Bezler) was appointed preliminary insolvency administrator. Around 110 employees are affected; wages and salaries are covered by insolvency benefit for three months. The company says operations continue without restriction while an investor is sought to carry on the restructuring.
