EnBW halts Senec's new-customer business, signals job cuts

EnBW has unsuccessfully concluded the search for an investor for the Leipzig-based storage manufacturer Senec, which it launched in February 2026: new-customer business and product development will be discontinued, and only the existing-customer business will continue. Significant cuts to the workforce are unavoidable according to the company; management and the works council are negotiating the socially responsible staff reduction, and no figure has yet been named.
