DB opens new container depot area at Ulm-Dornstadt

DB has put an extra container depot area of about 38,000 m² into service at Ulm-Dornstadt, built in just under nine months. It provides storage for loaded and empty containers for combined transport and, according to DB, is already used by many shipping lines and hauliers. The capacity of the adjacent transshipment terminal is due to more than double by 2028; the investment amount is not given (LOK Report, 1 Jul 2026).
