DB reopens tracks 15 and 16 at Frankfurt Hbf after bridge replacement

Above platforms 15 and 16 at Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, DB is replacing the old masonry track bridge near the pedestrian underpass with a steel-girder structure; preparatory work began in mid-2025. Tracks and platforms 15 and 16 are closed from 27 February to 10 July 2026, while neighbouring tracks stay in service; the sequence was simulated in advance using BIM. The bridges at platforms 12/13 were already renewed in 2022. Announced on 23 February 2026. Tracks 15 and 16 were reported passable again on the evening of 9 July 2026, so the closure ended on schedule ahead of 10 July.
