The Borkum Riffgrund 2 offshore wind farm is located in the North Sea about 40 km northwest of the island of Borkum, roughly 57 km from the Lower Saxony coast. It comprises 56 MHI Vestas V164 turbines (8 MW each), totaling 448 MW of installed capacity, and began commercial operation in June 2019. It is operated by Borkum Riffgrund 2 Offshore Wind Farm GmbH & Co. OHG, with ownership shared among Ørsted, Gulf Energy, and Keppel.
