In July 2026 the Westphalia-Lippe transport authority NWL adopted its 2027 annual funding programme: 39 measures receive EUR 26.05 million in total. Applications covered 56 projects worth EUR 34.54 million; 17 of them (about EUR 8.49 million) were diverted to the state programme for accessible public transport. Funding goes mainly to step-free stops, mobility hubs and passenger information; the 2026 programme covered 74 projects with EUR 31.8 million in grants (LOK Report, 31 Jul 2026).
