Around EUR 375 million from the federal government, DB InfraGO and the state of Hesse is going into reshaping the underground concourse level of Frankfurt main station; the rebuild has been under way since October 2020 while S-Bahn and U-Bahn services keep running. The Kaisertor entrance reopened on 29 May 2026 and the first four shops opened on 25 June 2026, with about 30 shops on 10,000 m² planned in total. Work in the B-level is due to end by late summer 2027, while the master plan, with more than 20 individual projects, runs to 2035. The date is a placeholder: only late summer 2027 is given, set here to the end of September (LOK Report, 9 Jul 2026).
