VRR adopts 2027 funding catalogue with 82 projects worth EUR 92 million

Around EUR 92 million in grants are deemed eligible in principle, with a focus on step-free stop upgrades; approval follows only once the final grant amount is set.

On 9 July 2026 the Rhine-Ruhr transport association VRR adopted its 2027 funding catalogue: 82 projects by municipalities and transport operators, worth about EUR 92 million in grants, are deemed eligible in principle, again with a focus on step-free stops. Approval comes only after the concrete funding applications have been reviewed, after which construction can start (LOK Report, 9 Jul 2026).
