Berlin-based travel platform Omio Group announced on 21 July 2026 an agreement to acquire rail-distribution specialist Rail Europe (Paris) to consolidate European rail and ground-transportation retailing. Post-completion the group would sell around 22m train tickets a year and work with over 28,000 transport operators and travel sellers. Completion is subject to consultation of the French works council (CSE); no purchase price was disclosed.
