DB to modernise Radolfzell station for EUR 47m by 2030

DB, the state of Baden-Württemberg and the city of Radolfzell are rebuilding Radolfzell station; the implementation and financing agreement was signed at the end of 2025. Of the roughly EUR 47 million, DB contributes EUR 31.6 million, the federal government EUR 8 million, the state EUR 4.8 million and the city EUR 2.55 million; the scheme includes four lifts, a step-free ramp and four renewed platforms with a 55 cm boarding height, with construction starting in August 2027. The date is a placeholder: opening is planned for winter 2030, and it is the largest project in the second station modernisation programme (LOK Report, 8 Apr 2026).
