The nearly 1 km extension of U-Bahn line U6 from Klinikum Großhadern to Martinsried (Planegg municipality, Munich district) has been under construction since groundbreaking in February 2023. The new tunnel section is about 972 m long, with investment costs exceeding EUR 200 million. Completion is planned for 2027, followed by an approximately six-month test phase before commissioning.
