The automotive supplier Aumovio, spun off from Continental, plans further job cuts of up to 4,000 worldwide in research and development (R&D). The cuts are to be largely completed by the end of 2026. Goal: to reduce the R&D expense ratio to below 10% of revenue by 2027 (a reduction of 2 percentage points). In Germany, a high three-digit number of jobs are to be cut. Aumovio employs over 86,000 people at 100+ sites. The cuts are to be carried out in a socially responsible manner; a voluntary programme is planned for German sites from early March.
