Commission positively assesses Germany's final €6bn RRF request

- On 21 Oct 2026 the European Commission positively assesses Germany's fourth and final payment request of €6bn under the Recovery and Resilience Facility
€6bn disbursement after Council approval; all reforms and investments of Germany's recovery plan (€30.3bn) are now implemented
The Commission considers 8 milestones and 19 targets of the final payment request met, including energy-efficient renovation of more than 36,000 buildings, support for over 1,100 district-heating decarbonisation projects, digitalisation of more than 1,600 hospitals and contributions to two IPCEIs (hydrogen, microelectronics). Payment follows Council approval (European Commission, 21 Oct 2026).
