German reinsurer Munich Re announced on 19 Aug 2026 the acquisition of US cyber insurer At-Bay at an enterprise value of $575 million. At-Bay ranks among the top ten US cyber insurers with $278 million in gross written premiums; closing is expected in Q1 2027 subject to regulatory approvals (Börse Express / Kapitalmarktexperten, 19 Aug 2026). Target is outside continental Europe; the Munich-based acquirer qualifies the deal for inclusion.
