Work officially began in Dresden-Cotta on 8 January 2026 on a new reinforced-concrete railway bridge over Hamburger Strasse and a step-free halt with longer platforms; the city is rebuilding the road in parallel. A tram stop will be built beneath the bridge, and the halt is meant to connect to the planned S6 S-Bahn line. Main works run from February 2026 to March 2029; in February 2026 the Dresden-Friedrichstadt–Coswig line is closed for one month. The date is a placeholder: the article only names the month of March 2029. (LOK Report, 8 Jan 2026)
