- The Sejm passes a law to speed up the preparation and construction of strategic road, rail, port, airport and flood-protection projects and the infrastructure accompanying the nuclear power plant
Shorter deadlines in appeal procedures and clearer rules for agreements with the State Forests and national parks on key investments
The Sejm passed the law on 8 October 2026 with 295 votes in favour, none against and 145 abstentions, adopting amendments from the maritime economy and infrastructure committees. These limit the deadline for remedying formal defects in appeals to 14 days at most, set rules on tree felling and on how to proceed without agreement with the State Forests or national parks, and extend the special rules to power connections for digital railway radio. The Senate is next (bankier.pl, 8 Oct 2026).
