Definition

Gross domestic product per inhabitant, converted at purchasing power parities into constant 2021 international dollars. An international dollar buys in each country what a US dollar buys in the United States.

Caveats

Measures economic output, not prosperity or how it is distributed. Purchasing power parities are re-surveyed every few years (International Comparison Program), which revises older values. China's GDP statistics are considered less reliable than those of the EU and the US.
