<summary>Swissgrid's new 380 kV overhead line between Chamoson and Chippis in Valais went into operation on 30 September 2022, after roughly 32 years of planning and four years of construction. The about 30 km route with 77 pylons bundles four voltage levels (2×380 kV, 220 kV, 65 kV, 132 kV) and will replace some 90 km of old lines with 322 pylons by 2027. The line removes a key transmission bottleneck for Valais hydropower and links the region to the wider Swiss grid. — Source: https://www.swissgrid.ch/de/home/projects/project-overview/chamoson-chippis.html</summary>

<summary>Swissgrid built the grid connection for the Nant de Drance pumped-storage power plant in Valais, with roughly 1 GW of evacuation capacity across three 380 kV sections (1.2 km underground cable Le Verney–La Bâtiaz, 12.5 km overhead line La Bâtiaz–Châtelard, 6.5 km underground cavern cable Châtelard–Nant de Drance). The first two sections had been operating since 2018, and the final section (underground cable through the Rhone plain near Martigny) has been in service since 1 April 2022, completing the plant's connection to the extra-high-voltage grid. Swissgrid does not disclose an investment figure. — Source: https://www.swissgrid.ch/de/home/projects/project-overview/nant-de-drance.html</summary>
