On the Erzingen (Baden)–Singen (Hohentwiel) line and at the Konstanz border station, DB InfraGO commissioned the European Train Control System (ETCS Level 1 Limited Supervision) with the timetable change on 15 December 2025. In total, around 60 kilometres of cross-border operating lines between Germany and Switzerland (including the Basel node) were equipped with ETCS in addition to the existing national train control systems. The source does not state a specific investment volume; a doubling of passenger numbers is expected on the Erzingen–Singen line. — Source: https://www.deutschebahn.com/de/presse/presse-regional/pr-stuttgart-de/aktuell/presseinformationen/DB-InfraGO-nimmt-ETCS-auf-Grenzbetriebsstrecken-Deutschland-Schweiz-in-Betrieb--13701682

The 1,138-metre single-tube Galgenbuck Tunnel opened on 6 December 2019 after about eight years of construction, costing roughly CHF 215 million. As a bypass of Neuhausen am Rheinfall, it directly connects the Klettgau region (cantonal roads 13/14) to the A4 motorway toward Winterthur and Germany, substantially relieving the town centre of through and heavy-goods traffic. According to the Canton of Schaffhausen, traffic volume on the former main route through town was halved as a result. — Source: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galgenbucktunnel
