<summary>ÖBB-Infrastruktur has completed the second of the two new bridges over the Salzach at Eschenau; the first entered service in July 2025, and both replace structures about 100 years old, one for each track. A load test with three locomotives weighing about 250 tonnes in total confirmed the fitness for service of the 62 m steel structure, which spans the Salzach at a height of around 12 m. Because of final works, there may still be restrictions between Schwarzach and Saalfelden until 3 July 2026; the report gives no costs. The date is the day of the report; the article does not give an exact completion date.
