On 23 July 2026 Lactalis, the world's largest dairy group, announced it had entered exclusive negotiations to acquire 100% of the dairy company Triballat. Based in Rians (Cher) since 1901 and independent for more than 120 years, the family firm employs around 1,600 people at 17 production sites (France, Spain, USA), collects 140 million litres of milk — around 50 million of it goat's milk — and posted revenue of €365m in 2025. The deal would make Lactalis France's second-largest collector of goat's milk; employee consultation and antitrust clearance are still pending. — Source: https://www.reussir.fr/chevre/lactalis-en-passe-de-racheter-triballat
