The Eurasia Tunnel is a 5.4 km double-deck road tunnel beneath the Bosphorus, opened 20 December 2016, connecting Istanbul's European and Asian sides. It was built by the Turkish-South Korean ATAŞ consortium (Yapı Merkezi / SK E&C); German firm Herrenknecht AG supplied the specialized TBM for the underwater section. The EIB and EBRD together contributed USD 500 million in financing, giving the project documented European involvement in both industry and finance. — Source: https://www.ebrd.com/home/news-and-events/news/2012/new-bosphorus-tunnel-in-istanbul-will-connect-europe-and-asia.html

The 362 km Zhengzhou–Xuzhou high-speed line opened on 10 September 2016 as part of the Xuzhou-Lanzhou corridor, with construction starting in December 2012; upon completion it set a global design-speed record (420 km/h). French engineering firm Egis carried out full construction supervision, including quality assurance and system commissioning, on a 57 km contract package (approx. EUR 484 million, 2013-2017), bringing European engineering standards into a project built around China's proprietary CRTS-III ballastless track technology. — Source: https://www.egis-group.com/projects/hsl-china
