Phase 2 of the Washington Metro Silver Line (11.5-mile extension to Dulles International Airport, six new stations, approx. USD 3 billion) opened on November 15, 2022; the main design-build contractor for construction/systems was the Capital Rail Constructors joint venture (Clark Construction/Kiewit, US/Canada). However, the train control technology came from two European suppliers: Alstom (France) for Phase 1 and Ansaldo-STS/Hitachi Rail STS (Italy) for Phase 2; per WTOP reporting based on MWAA/WMATA documents, Alstom had to verify and sign off on compatibility/integration at the Wiehle-Reston East interface, causing years of delay. — Source: https://wtop.com/tracking-metro-24-7/2020/03/wiehle-tie-in-how-the-silver-line-got-held-up/

Ankara Metro Line M4 (Kızılay–Gazino, approx. 10.6 km, initially a 9.2 km northern Şehitler–Gazino section) began test running on 31 August 2016; construction had started in 2004, with regular passenger service from 5 January 2017. The civil contractor (Gülermak-Kolin-Limak) and rolling-stock supplier (CRRC Zhuzhou, China) are Turkish and Chinese respectively. However, the CBTC signalling system for lines M1-M4 was awarded in 2008 to a consortium of Italy's Ansaldo STS S.p.A. and Turkey's Alsim Alarko. — Source: https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/view/51397142/ansaldo-sts-has-signed-a-new-contract-in-turkish-market
